With reference to 85,000 people are enrolled in those employer-sponsored health plans through SummaCare.
"We're open to any discussions that will lead to greater coverage for the communities we serve," Armao said. "If the opportunity arises to have conversations about that, we'll talk about that."
The UH agreement comes as the Cleveland Clinic is in partnership discussion with Akron General Medical Center, the crosstown competitor of SummaCare's parent company, Summa Health System.
The Clinic has been a system contributor for SummaCare's Medicare managed-care plans since 2005 and for other SummaCare plans since 1997.
SummaCare continues to bond with the Clinic and has a "strong relationship" with the Cleveland hospital system, Armao said.
The UH deal is fraction of SummaCare's continuing attempt to assertively get bigger its catalog of accepted hospitals and doctors all the method from beginning to end Northeast Ohio.
