of many other states as the Blue Cross Blue Shield of Missouri decided
to assume the name and goodwill of Anthem. The company has been

and S&P respectively.
Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield of Missouri offers a variety of products

It also offers discounts on alternative health care services, eyeglasses,
contact lenses, prescription drugs and hearing aids at selected

Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield of Missouri offers various health
plans that include:
Alliance Individual, Alliance CHOICE, RateSaver: These are PPO plans
that allow members to select doctors from a wide network, or even
select one out-of-network, albeit for a higher cost. These plans
cover prescription drugs, hospitalization and well-visits. Of the
three, it is Alliance Individual that offers Maternity coverage.
The CHOICE plan is available only residents of the St. Louis metro
area.
BlueCHOICE Individual (HMO): It is a comprehensive HMO plan that
offers preventive care such as well-visits and immunizations, as
well as eye exams, maternity, and prescription drug benefits. This
plan needs no deductible.
Hospital/Surgical Plan: This plan lays emphasis on covering hospitalization
and catastrophic injury. It, however, also covers immunizations.
HSA Compatible Plans: It is a high-deductible health plan in which
members can opt for using one of the Alliance plans alongside this
one in order to utilize a Health Savings Account (HSA), or they
may choose to enroll in the Hospital/Surgical Plan if they like.
Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield of Missouri also offers a dental plan
named DentaBlue, and Short Term Medical, as well as the Blue Horizons
Medicare Supplement plan for older members.
Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield of Missouri’s Healthy
Living programs help members manage various ongoing health conditions
and make healthy lifestyle changes. As part of its Health Improvement
Programs, Health Coaches reply to queries and provide action-oriented
education for our members with these health conditions: asthma,
heart health, diabetes and postpartum depression. The company also
conducts programs on dangers of smoking, pregnancy, healthy habits
for children etc. The program named TLC: The Last Cigarette helps
the members of the company to give up the tobacco habit once and
for all.
The program on pregnancy helps eligible pregnant members to a healthy
