Regence Blue Shield of Washington
Regence Blue Shield of Washington has now been serving residents
of Washington for about 90 years. Having over a million members,
it is one of the largest health plans in the state. The company
has offices in Seattle, Burlington, Tacoma and Everett. It has in

than 20,000 physicians, dentists and other providers. An independent
licensee of the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association, Regence

to its customers. Some of these plans are:
Breakthru 80: This product offers you a choice between two deductible
options with 80% coinsurance when you use network health care providers
and 50% coinsurance when you use non-network providers. You can
have a maximum out of pocket of $2,500 regardless of the deductible
option that you choose. The plan covers worldwide coverage, maternity
coverage, and a $10 co-pay on all generic prescription drugs.
Breakthru 70: Members of this plan choose from two deductible options
at the time of enrollment. Members pay 70% coinsurance when using
network participants and 50% coinsurance when using non-network
healthcare providers. Maximum out of pocket expenses are $5,000.
Breakthru 70 covers among other services maternity, office visits,
prescriptions drugs, and preventative care.
Breakthru 50: Like the other Breakthru plans, it also offers two
deductible options. Coinsurance is 50% for both network and non-network
providers. Maximum out of pocket expenses have been fixed at $10,000.
Selections Plan: These Comprehensive Plans offer you a choice of
two deductibles with 80% coinsurance on covered services with a
$2,000 out of pocket maximum. These plans give members a high level
of health care protection. In addition to using network providers,
members under these plans can also see non-network providers at
a higher cost.
Preferred Plan $750: Members of this PPO plan must meet a $750 yearly
deduction for coinsurance to start. Coinsurance is 80% with a maximum
out of pocket of $2,000. plan.
Selections Plan Catastrophic Plans: These plans give you the choice
of two deductibles for low cost health care to cover unexpected
illnesses or accidents.
HSA Qualified Preferred Catastrophic Plans: These plans offer members
the choice of two high deductibles and the ability to use pre-tax
dollars to pay approved medical expenses. This can help save money
on your taxes while assuring you that you will be covered in the
case of unexpected illnesses or accidents.
DentalOne: This plan is a managed care plan that ensures that your
expenses are as low as possible through cost-effective dental care
and an emphasis on prevention to help avoid costlier care at a later
stage.
