Regence Blue Shield of Washington

Better choices make healthier people. This unstated motto of the Regence Group has allowed them to reach the zenith of success, with a legacy of more than 90 years behind them. Serving the best of health care at competitive prices has made the Regence Group cement a long lasting relationship not only with members but also with providers. The Regence brand today is promoted by four separate plans- Regence Blue Shield of Idaho, Regence Blue Shield of Washington, Regence Blue Cross Blue Shield of Oregon and Regence Blue Cross Blue Shield of Utah. Each one is licensed under the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association to offer products and services under the ‘Blue’ brands.

Regence Blue Shield of Washington has plans for individuals, families and employer groups. Even persons above the age of 65 who are Medicare eligible have options to access at Regence Washington. Individuals and families can choose from the Regence HSA Health Plan, Regence HSA Comprehensive Health Plan, Regence Breakthru and Preferred PPO Catastrophic. Regence HSA Health Plan has two choices each for individuals and families, options for the former being $2500 and $3500 and for the latter, $5000 and $7000. Benefits include alternative care and preventive care. Regence HSA Comprehensive Health Plan has deductible options of $1500 and $3000 for individuals and families respectively. Prescription drugs, preventive care and mental health care are covered by the plan. Regence Breakthru has benefits such as preventive care, alternative care and maternity care but leaves out dental care. Preferred PPO Catastrophic demands a deductible of $1750 from its members. Advantages include ambulance services, mental health care, smoking cessation and many more.

Medicare eligible persons have the Part D Prescription Coverage Plan within their access apart from the Regence Med Advantage Plan and a range of supplement plans to cover the discrepancies found in the regular Medicare plan.

Employer groups have access to an innovative set of products including affordable and comprehensive plans and traditional coverage that comes at slightly higher rates. Innova, Engage and Four Front are some of the plans Regence Washington offers to employer groups. Innova covers most medical expenses including prescription drugs, preventive care, maternity care and mental health. Deductible choices range between $250 and $5000. Engage too covers the same set of benefits but is more flexible in terms of deductibles. Members can choose deductibles in the range of $0 and $5000. Four Front is a plan that allows companies to keep a check on healthcare costs. The rates are really low and the provider network is extensive enough to offer all specialized care. Apart from these, a traditional program is also available for employer groups where the rates are high but network is large. Additionally, the Blue Card and Blue Card Worldwide programs are active on this plan.
