Representative Jim Cooper was one of the people who attended the White House forum that was called on March 5, 2009 by President Barack Obama, in order to discuss ideas to reform the health care condition of the country. Cooper was one of the associates of a Bipartisan team and also of the 6 member team of the Houses. It was him, who introduced the very unique health care bill in the summit, which is known as the Healthy Americans Act. Cooper said that this legislation will help in increasing coverage for all and also make it affordable to all. On March 5, 2009 Representative Jim Cooper took part in the White House meeting, which was arranged by current US President Barack Obama for discussing different people's ideas on health care renovation. Rep. Cooper was an associate of the bipartisan group of the members of the House to introduce their own bill in order to execute the task of health care reform in the country, as soon as possible.

A class dedicated towards teaching health care policy was taught for several years by the Nashville Democrat at Vanderbilt University. The Nashville Democrat was one of those 140 participants who took part in the forum that President Obama prearranged as the base tip of his plan, in order to refurbish the health care condition of the country.

Cooper expressed his regrets for the millions of residents of the United States, who are loosing their precious jobs each and every day, in different parts of the country. This indirectly signifies that all these people who are getting out of job, are also loosing their health insurance coverage. Therefore as per him, an immediate action to combat this situation is very much necessary, so that the health care condition of the country is reformed and all the people residing in the country can have access to health insurance coverage at reasonable prices.

On the White House meeting, that was held on March 5, 2009; Cooper was an associate of a team consisting of 6 House members that consisted of 2 Republicans and 4 Democrats. Cooper joined this team in order to propose his own health care bill, known by the name of Healthy Americans Act.

The bill seemed to assure that each resident of the United States will have access to health care coverage and can own it at an affordable price. In addition to this, it will support prevention and healthy life.

The people who backed this legislation remarked that it will compensate for its own by eradicating most of the administrative expenses and tax cancellations business, available for few of the health plans. The people would get a tax credit so that they can buy insurance policies. Funding will also be offered to so as to ascertain that every Americans can access health insurance.
