Medicare Part C or Medicare Advantage, although is a part of Medicare is actually sold by private insurance companies who are authorized by Medicare. Members have to pay monthly premiums for most of the plans along with what they pay for Medicare Part B. You must be enrolled into Medicare Part A and B in order to buy a Medicare Advantage plan. Medicare Part C covers all the benefits which are offered under Original Medicare (Part A and B). It includes benefits like hearing, vision and dental which are not covered under Original Medicare.
